Connectivo LMS
Canvas LMS course file accessibility — audit, remediate, and publish compliant documents without leaving your LMS
Canvas Course File Remediation in Three Steps
Connectivo installs as an LTI 1.3 tool inside Canvas. Instructors access the Access Hub directly from their course navigation to audit files, set remediation preferences, and publish compliant documents.
Audit
Connectivo scans every file in your Canvas course — PDFs, slide decks, Word documents, spreadsheets, images, and videos — and surfaces accessibility issues with severity scores per file.
Remediate
Choose automatic or manual remediation from your instructor preferences. Connectivo fixes heading structure, alt text, reading order, table tags, color contrast, captions, and more — then validates every change.
Publish
Remediated files are uploaded back to Canvas automatically or held for instructor review — matching the preference you set. Original files are preserved; replacements are tracked.
Course-Level Control
Instructors manage accessibility remediation from inside their Canvas course. The Access Hub shows every file's compliance status, lets you set remediation preferences, and gives you one-click actions — without leaving Canvas.
| File Name | Status | Issues |
|---|---|---|
| Week_1_Lecture_Slides.pptx | Completed | ✓ |
| MKTG643_Syllabus_Fall2023.pdf | Completed | ✓ |
| Consumer_Behavior_Case_Study.docx | Pending | 5 |
| Brand_Strategy_Group_Brief.pdf | Pending | 12 |
| Campaign_Budget_Template.xlsx | Pending | 3 |
| Product_Launch_Video.mp4 | Failed | 2 |
Remediation Preferences
Choose how Connectivo handles remediated files for this course.
Two Remediation Modes
Auto-mode remediates and replaces files in Canvas without manual steps — every fix is validated before upload. Review-mode remediates files but holds them for instructor approval before publishing, so you review every change before students see it.
Set once in your remediation preferences; applies to every file in the course. Switch modes at any time without losing progress.
Per-File Issue Inspector
Click any file to open the issue inspector. Each violation is listed by category — missing alt text, broken heading hierarchy, unlabeled form fields, missing bookmarks, table structure errors — with severity and exact location in the document.
The inspector shows before/after comparisons so you can verify what changed. Files with zero issues after remediation are marked Completed automatically.
Status Filtering & Bulk Actions
Filter the file list by status — hide files already replaced in Canvas, show only pending items, or surface failures that need attention. Search by file name or file type. Remediate a single file on demand or trigger course-wide batch processing.
Filter chips: All Files, Pending, Done, Failed, and Hide Replaced in Canvas. Each filter updates the count so you always know how many files remain.
Canvas-Native LTI 1.3 Integration
Connectivo appears as a sidebar item in your Canvas course navigation — right alongside Modules, Assignments, and Grades. Instructors never leave Canvas. No separate login, no external dashboard, no browser extensions to install.
Supports all Canvas instances. The Access Hub loads inside Canvas with full course context, so Connectivo knows which course files to scan automatically.

Slide titles, reading order, alt text, contrast, unique slide names
Headings, lists, table headers, language tags, bookmarks
